I like AWR just enough for ranking reporting, which is all that I use it for. I have looked into link-assistant.com recently and I’m intrigued. I plan to use it and/or SEOCockpit the next time I need to do major keyword research. I’ll report back on the blog for sure! (I’m pretty much fed up and done with SEOmoz, Wordtracker and SEMRush.)

Tried various SEO tools including Advanced Web Ranking. I consider this software too large to successfully perform the required tasks. I prefer something more logical like http://link-assistant.com tools. Each of them do their own SEO job and give you the most precise information on your site.

FYI – this post is showing its age. E.g. I prefer Yoast’s SEO plugin now. Always note the age of the blog post you’re reading when you’re researching SEO stuff.

Thanks for the heads up. Fixed! Not sure why they keep changing the config on their webserver. I reached out to them last time, but I won’t bug them this time. Nor will I add “update 4!” to the post. …But let this be a lesson to anybody with a website; leave things well enough alone. Don’t go changin’, rearrangin’. Google (and all of your backlinks) liked you just the way you were.

I know where one of the largest illigal call center is and willing to give names addresses and phone numbers if it’s worth my time

I now rarely use the laptop with the Intel graphics chip, so I can’t really tell you what I noticed. I only dug into it in the first place b/c I was working abroad for a while and didn’t have a desktop rig.

I used to use monitor color calibration software that relied on a USB sensor of sorts, but that toy left with that photographer-housemate many years ago. If you want, I can ask him what it’s called.
